Genting Malaysia Hotels
You will be spoilt for choice as there are a total of 7 hotels with more than 10,000 rooms. Six hotels are 6,000 feet above sea level while one hotel is 3,100 feet above sea level. Depending on your needs and budget you can get a room as low as RM 100. The weather is between 14 to 25 degrees depending on the month you are going. Let’s take a look at all the seven hotels.
Resorts World Awana Hotel (4-star)
Awana Hotel is situated at mid-hill, 3,100 feet above the sea level with 410 rooms. There are three types of rooms for you to choose from, Superior Deluxe Room, One Room Condo, and Club Suite.
This is a good hotel to stay if you like to play golf and stay away from the crowds and you are just 5 minutes to Genting Highlands Premium Outlets.

If you like outdoor activities, there’s an 18-hole golf course, an outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, and a driving range. You can also embark on a jungle trekking from a 30-minute trek to a 2-3 hours trek route covering 1.8km of lush greenery.
Within a five-minutes drive from the hotel, there is a Genting Highlands Premium Outlets and a Genting Strawberry Leisure Farms for you and your family to spend a relaxing afternoon.
First World Hotel (3-star)
First World consists of three towers with a total of 7,351 rooms. There are seven types of rooms for you to choose from, you sure can find one that fits your needs. In recent years they have implemented express self-check-in kiosk and you can get your keycards within five minutes.
The rooms are typically smaller, if you are on a budget or plan to spend little time in the room, this is the hotel to choose. The good part is the hotel is just beside the SkyAveune and the new indoor theme park Skytropolis Funland.

First World Hotel F&B, entertainment, and retail outlets have undergone a renovation and are now fully operational. On 8 December 2018, after 20 months of renovations of their Indoor Theme park and arcade center has re-opened and renamed to Skytropolis Funland. The main attraction is still the SkyAvenue, where there are more than 100 F&B, entertainment, and retail outlets.
Genting SkyWorlds Hotel
(previously known as Theme Park Hotel)
Theme Park Hotel is a 500 rooms boutique hotel best cater for couples, groups, and families. There are four different rooms and it can accommodate from two to six people.
The fun part is that everyone can party together in one room the whole night, the bad part is it has only one washroom which everyone has to take their turn to use. Theme Park Hotel is closer to the outdoor theme park, 20th Century Fox World but it is still not ready yet.

The hotel is located near Arean of Stars where the concert is held and it is nearer to the outdoor theme park.
Resort Hotel (4-star)
Resort Hotel has 834 rooms with three different types of rooms to choose from. The room is much bigger than the room in First World Hotel so it is my choice of hotel every time I visit Genting Malaysia. It might be located a bit farther from SkyAveune and other eatery but I don’t mind the distance.
Once I reached the Resort Hotel at 6.30 am, I will do an early check-in and leave my luggage at the luggage storage area. Then I will go for my breakfast and explore the area. When the room is ready, they will give me an SMS and I will go to the hotel auto check-in kiosk to get my room cards.

The bus interchange is located at the basement of the Resort Hotel. Normally after check-out at 12 pm, I will stay at the lobby Coffee Bean for a drink until 1.30 pm before head down to the basement to wait for the bus to arrive at 2 pm.
Genting Grand (5-star)
Genting Grand has 427 rooms and suites for you to choose from. Compare to other hotels, the rooms are bigger, have free WiFi and bathtub. At the lobby just beside the life, you can indulge and pamper yourself at that M spa Hidden from view there is a large lounge area where you can relax and unwind with your friends.
I have stayed in this hotel for two times but I don’t think it suite me at all. It has a bathtub and a standing shower but during the stay, I only used the bathtub once. Compare my usage and the value I paid for is totally not worth it unless I have a free room stay I will not pay for it. (Yes, you can get a free room. I will show you how in the later post)

One of the Casinos is located at level two of the building and it is convenient to and fro. The building also has quite a lot eatery and snack bars such as Coffee Terrace, Good Friends Restaurant, and Genting Palace just to list a few.
Highlands Hotel (5-star)
(previously known as Maxims)
Built for pleasure and comfort, the Highlands Hotel offers sophisticated suites and rooms that are a class above.
I have stayed in this Maxims for two times and would prefer this to Genting Grand. The room size is similar to Genting Grand just that it doesn’t have a bathtub (which I don’t need it). The disadvantage is, it is located at the far end of Genting Grand the advantage is there is another escalator up to the casino and free WiFi.
